A flower essence is an opportunity to align the interior of an individual within a specific frequency, balancing and nourishing.  What I have observed with real joy over these 16 months of working with flower essences is the “coincidences”, realizing how the inside and the outside are the same thing. Once, I gave an essence to a young girl working with her fire element, relating with some issues that were difficult for her. In the first week, she received an invitation and went to a friend's farm, staying in a room that was entirely red, The walls were red, the roof was red, the mattress and bed were red, the curtains were red! And she hated red! Something amazing happened to her in that room, and she managed to integrate much of the fire element in her life. And what’s more, once the shock had passed, she said she really felt at home in that red room.

This is a very fluid example, which clearly illustrates what I want to say. The great reality behind this is how much we are integrating in everything, and the marvelous way our frequency penetrates the frequencies around us, how flower essences can act by creating new frequency waves, and how this helps us build new realities, both internal and external.

Each day, the mind becomes a battle ground good and bad, an issue which permeates our energy charges, emotions and attitudes. Bad may be something as subtle or devastating as a lack of self love, a destructive thought, a negative expectation, a painful memory. Flower essences help us in this battle, inspire us, connect us. They are more than a connection between man and the nature of the flower, they open channels for reconnecting man with the whole of nature, within the frequency in which he works. I think that is what delights me most of all: the coincidences. I like to think of the individual and the flower as two vibrating waves which meet and modulate, emanating this frequency to everything else around them. The essence of the flower, however, is pure, crystalline. While man has intelligence, the flower has consciousness. There is a wide gap between the two. In the intelligence there is mind. In the consciousness there is no mind.

I adore the etymology of the words, I don't know where the word ‘mind’ (in Portuguese, mente) comes from, but it must be from ‘lie’ (in Portuguese, mentira). The mind lies. The mind fabricates realities, which are different from the consciousness. Each flower essence is a standard of pure consciousness,  which will resonate in the consciousness of the individual, and the conscience of the individual will resonate in his intelligence. The intelligence is just an instrument used by the consciousness. The greater the consciousness, the greater the intelligence. Thus, when these two waves meet, the man and the flower essence, it is the man who is transformed, touched. Flower essences are like little drops of Buddahs, Christs, Mahatmas…

The person might, for example, take an essence, or a combination, to place her life in movement and then begin to practice a sport. Then she comes back to the next session and says: “I feel better, but I’ve also taken up sports!” And she doesn’t notice how everything is connected, how the flower essence prompted her to take up the sport, towards that specific movement.

The essences of Chapada Diamantina have something in common: They are essences which expand the consciousness and center. This is something that is common to all of them: They center the individual, increase the capacity for discernment. “Why be focused, if you can be centered?” (Osho). A think this energy is part of the place they came from. From the heart of Bahia, in the center of Brazil, a place full of diamonds which reflect clarity, shine, discernment, strength and resistance. All flowers are full of tannin, a substance which consists of decomposing carbon, and the raw material for diamonds. Even though they have been explored for years, more than 70% of diamonds continue intact, as they are deeply imbedded in the ground of the Chapada.
