ANGUS

 Fam: Malphigiaceae

The common name for this flower is Borboletinha (little butterfly), as it has a winged seed in the form of a butterfly, which is transported whole, by the wind, over long distances, for many kilometers. When I saw the seed of the flower, in the shape of a butterfly, I immediately fell in love with it and hoped to find it in full bloom, and that it would allow me to make an essence of it. When this happened, I was very happy. Access to it was difficult, the forest was dense, although relatively low, but there were lots of insects, lots of bites, and it was an essence that really required a lot of me in terms of concentration and adaptation to such an inconvenient situation, in order to obtain it. When I finally saw that everything was ready and that I could carry out the collection, after meditating, the water in the basin spilled onto the ground. Luckily I had another one in reserve!

Angus is an essence which helps us deal with change. All change generates discomfort, and it is necessary to overcome it. Sometimes the change comes from a sad cause, such as the death of a loved one, surgery, or an accident, sometimes it comes from a happy event, such as a marriage or the birth of a child. The fact is that any change generates a certain type of stress, because a part of you that has to die, in order for the other to be born. Angus is not only recommended for people going through a process of transformation and change, but also for people who are literally dying physically, experiencing death as a deep transformation. It also helps adolescents.

Angus helps the individual to remember that change is necessary and blessed, as it bears fruit. The butterfly-shaped seed of the flower is carried by the wind far away, many kilometers, falling on the ground and growing, winning new spaces, and discovering how much new life can be generated in new spaces. Osho once said that those not capable of accepting the new are not capable of accepting God. Angus is an essence which helps the individual to accept new sides of God. It brings Love and Strength.  It brings courage for those who have been prisoners in a certain situation for a long time, and want to change but are unable to.  It brings the Courage to change. To quote Osho again, he said that if all he could teach his disciples was courage, he would have taught them the essential thing.  Angus is very useful for people who startle easily.

Angus provides protection and tranquility in change, ensuring the greatest possible success in the process.  

It is excellent for working with the “let go and be reborn”.

In my first meditation with Angus, I clearly experienced the cleanliness that it brought to my throat chakra, activating the third eye at the same time. Angus liberates greater creativity, personal transformation and self-expression.

A patient told that in the first few days of taking the essence, she began to cry for on reason, everything made her emotional, and she confirmed that she had been very hardened,  as though nothing would ever move her again. Angus cut through this state of hardness, making her more compassionate and easygoing.

According to the Neuroscience analysis, Angus opens the Alpha frequency immensely, and is characterized as a Bridge essence. An increase in Alpha frequencies brings a high number of visualizations, with greater intensity and richness; It helps the individual to have more intimate contact with his inner world, forming a bridge with deeper levels of the being.

What brings the change is Theta, but what brings the change for the consciousness is Alpha. Alpha shows a state which is more open to the self.

Scientific biophysical analyses reveal that Angus is excellent for treating hepatic problems and food poisoning, as well as detoxicating and strengthening the lungs, large intestine and kidneys.

Angus has also proven effective for treating the knee joints.

According to Lowen’s bioenergetic, it is essential for the individual to have grounding in order to be self-supporting in life, as this enables the person to read problems and have personal security. This grounding is acquired through an appropriate bodily posture, and can be trained with the individual standing, feet placed at shoulder width, legs slightly bent, pelvis forward and breathing from the stomach. If an individual, once he is in this position, remains with the legs completely straight, this means there is a leakage of energy in the knees.  Angus is an interesting essence to use in these cases, and research is still being carried out to demonstrate its effectiveness in this leakage of energy via the knees.

 ANGUS CONSCIOUSNESS

Change is the possibility of growth and evolution of the human being. No flower blooms without change, no seed thrives. Life simply does not happen without change. And nothing frightens humans more than change, because it does not always take place in circumstances which are under our control.  Often change generates a feeling of emptiness between something that was and something that will be, and it is in this sensation that we can lose ourselves, feel impotent. 

Impotence generates rage, sadness, fear. But it is observed that between something that was and something that will be, is today, now, the present, the reality. It is in the present that we are in fact capable. Our power lies in our capacity to let change carry us, and not to control the facts. Angus is also a good essence for people with a very rigid, closed, dogmatic mentality, since the mind of man is a bridge to his destiny, and an open mind is always wiser and more coherent.  Angus helps to open the mind.  

 

ASPILIA

 Fam: Asteraceae

Aspilia Foliosa

When I found this flower for the first time, I had the sensation that it was looking at me and saying: "What do you want with me?" And at that moment I saw stubborn, arrogant, or aggressive people… often because they have been hurt and wounded.

The Aspilia type appears to always have a closed, angry face, and often demonstrate their interior as being something bad, negative, pejorative or even threatening, in an attempt to send others away. They almost cannot remember their childhood, but generally base themselves on it and on beliefs coming from this period, to live the present moment in a negative way.  Aspilia helps develop goodness, first dealing with feelings of rejection rooted in the individual; it helps cure the wounds in wounded people, people who end up choosing the bad, and by bad I mean all that is negative, including thoughts.

What I observed, after administering Aspilia to some clients to which it adjusted is that they become more emotional again, as if a great skeleton had begun to rise up, and this often seemed frightening.  They also become more confused, with many questions about life and the lifestyle they were living. Aspilia is an essence which requires supervision after being administered, as it affects people deeply and raises a series of questions. An adolescent boy who had never shown his feelings and appeared not to care about anybody, began to cry after taking the essence, and it is very important that at this moment, there is support and coaching, whether by a therapist or friends or family.

Strangely, when dry, they become bell-shaped, and I think Aspilia is part of a group of Awakening essences.

According to Neuroscience analyses, Aspilia showed a result with some surges of alert mind, an opening in the inner channel in energy systems, in other words, it works with the energy system and strength, through the inner channels, such as the meridian channels. It liberates blockages of inner energy. This essence brings a lot of Gama and Delta frequency. Gama is a very fast Beta, over 38, and is related to energy. In meditation it is associated with kundalini and the movement of energy.

 ASPILIA CONSCIOUSNESS

No man consumes more energy than that which builds walls and sustains them around him. I think that of the various traumas and negative emotional experiences a person can experience, none holds human beings back more than rejection. This is so basic and so implicit in human nature, that many magazines that give tips on how to win someone use mild rejection as a bait. Human beings are slaves to rejection. We want to be accepted at any cost, we want to be loved, this is simply impossible, and that’s where aggressiveness starts.  Rejected people, or those who feel rejected, are aggressive people. This aggressiveness may be open or repressed, but it is certainly there, often refined by doses of sarcasm. This reminds me of the phrase of a poet: “There are those who kill with a sword and those who kill with a kiss”. A rejected person is always carrying around a great wound which the therapist should perceive without judging, since it is through this wound and this aggressiveness, that the person communicates with the world, so, like any other healing process, the person must begin by accepting the pain.

Aspilia is a very good essence to consider in cases where there is a need for deep forgiveness. Behind the aggressiveness, the sarcasm, the laissez-faire attitude, the wound is guarded, and when this shell begins to open, sadness comes, and the person begins to have contact with the feelings that Aspilia is treating. 

Biophysical analyses demonstrate that Aspilia is effective for treating problems in the shoulder joints.

 

  

CAMBESSEDESIA

 Fam: Melastomataceae

Cambessedesia

Pollinated by bees and insects, this happy, yellow flower with orange edges in the form of a star, is recommended for people who are always changing their opinions, ideas and values. It is a good essence to use for women with strong PMT. – Premenstrual tension.

Astrologically, we can say that the Cambessedesia individual lacks the energy of Saturn, which gives form and precipitates the ideas into something real and concrete, strengthening the discipline and realization. Normally, this type of person starts off with a genuine desire, but gets lost half way, often becoming distracted with other things which appear to be more interesting, or getting bogged down when it comes time to continue with his plans, whether internally or externally, with events and facts that appear to be beyond his reach, and which simply "happen" in his life.

Cambessedesia strengthens the naval chakra and plexus, helping the individual to make better use of the opportunities life offers.

It is a good essence for when life appears to have left the individual hardened, bitter, and aggressive, due to feelings, whether clear or unconscious, of personal failure.

It has small red cillae along the stem which only appear when open, and do not exist when the plant is closed.

This is also a good essence for very demanding people, who tend to lose this limit of reason.

Cambessedesia is recommended for the aerial type of person, who lives with her “head in the clouds”; she needs help to put her feet back on the ground, to center, anchor, while at the same time, it helps the individual to see what she does not want to see.

CAMBESSEDESIA CONSCIOUSNESS

If the sea is turbulent, it is more difficult for the ship to arrive in port. If the waters are throwing you about all the time, you can go off course. Cambessedesia is like a powerful compass which helps steer people in the right direction.

A person who is always changing his mind is wasting all his potential. The basic potential and energy that all human beings have, when channeled in the right direction, becomes something real and practical.

The Cambessedesia type tends to have many doubts, to be indecisive, and this type of doubt is a major gateway for the entry of weakness and wasted potential. Thus, accomplishing things becomes difficult, and the individual tends to become more demanding, often extending this attitude to those around him.

Each opportunity in life, each moment, holds the opportunity to strengthen and realize our potential. As a recent advertisement said: “Each day dawns with the potential to become a great day”, but for this, we need to be present on that day, not on the previous day, nor the next day, but on that day, with both feed on the ground, in order to make the most of every moment of the day.

 

CANCELLATA

Pavonia Cancellata

When I first came across Cancellata, it wasn’t one small bush, but a whole area covered with them. Its bright yellow mandala shape is filled with a deep, dark red which really touched my heart. When I began to blend the essence, the first phrase that described it was: “A Flower of Overcomers”.

Cancellata is happy, life-giving; it cures desperation and lack of meaning in life. It can treat fear and is recommended for people who do not occupy their space, who have a restricted body. It strengthens the solar plexus, helping to integrate information and experiences.

For the pain of relationships, Cancellata helps the individual recover from a difficult relationship, or one which is over. Enough suffering! Lets look for the Sun! It helps the individual to get back on the right bath, in his personal walk.

It brings the process of reconnecting the individual with his personal strength and power, but with more maturity, leading the person to find within himself the resources and protection he tends to look for outside himself, normal revealing a more co-dependant personality.

For turbulent moments of life, Cancellata works to prevent the individual from sinking into problems. It combines well with the essence of Diamond and Angus for moments like these.

Cancellata opens the intuition, and strengthens self-confidence, it is a harmonious blend of the Feminine and Masculine, Moon and Sun, helping to integrate these two aspects in the human psyche, which means a greater integration between reason and emotion.

For very unstable people, Cancellata with Cambessedesia gives an interesting combination. Cancellata helps the individual not to waver between extremes of reason and emotion.

When I prepared the essence, the flowers were all fully open, and at the end of the afternoon, when I collected the essence, the entire Cancellata field was closed; all the flowers were closed, including those which were decanting the essence into the water.

What I felt in my first meditation with this essence was as though a sharp blade was coming out of my body, bring great relief.

According to Neuroscience analyses, the essence of Cancellata manifests patterns of alert mind, which means a reduced Beta and at lower frequencies (19-24), and an Alpha which is clearly present with very consistent surges of Theta. Cancellata is fundamentally organizing, it balances the activity of frequencies among themselves, effectively organizing them.

 

 CANCELLATA CONSCIOUSNESS

Love is for those who are strong. This is a phrase which I have repeated many times, and in which I truly believe. Great inner strength is needed to deal with a relationship, to know when to invest, to change, to accept or to end it, if necessary.

There is a phrase of Exupéry which I like very much: “For there to be a blossoming tree, there must first be a tree.” Cancellata helps the individual to maintain his own axis in himself, and this is part of the process of individual self-construction which is one of the great wealths that a person achieves in life.

Many of us today live in large cities, full of asphalt and cement, however, it is common to see small mosses, little plants growing out between cracks in the stone or cement. This is the Cambessedesia consciousness; as difficult as it may be, let’s thrive, let’s live, let's head for the sun. Life is greater than everything.

  

CHAMACRISTA

Chamaecrista Cytisoides Confertiformis

This bright yellow flower, turning upwards like a little satellite dish, accelerates the process of evolution and access to carefully-guarded information.  It is the antivirus scanner of the soul. It is highly recommended for improving the memory.

The human being evolves as she deepens and appropriates the necessary understanding coming from her process of personal transformation. Chamacrista helps in the process of integrating with these understandings, renovating the freshness of life.  The essence establishes a link with other types of languages and symbols, helping the person to deal with the whole illogical universe, opening even more the range of comprehensive possibilities, as we cannot understand everything in a logical and linear way.

As it opens the doors of the collective unconscious, for the astral projection, it helps increase discernment, opens the intuition and helps us remember our dreams.

Chamacrista is very useful for those who meditate, opening up new insights and deep connections.

It balances the ambition, arrogance and even spiritual pride, with humility.

Its common name is Cem Anos (Hundred Years), due to the great resistance this plant has. The local population affirms that it lives for more than a hundred years. Chamacrista helps center the individual’s energy on himself, liberating some of the expectation she has in relation to things and people, recognizing that not everything is the way we want it to be. When we trust in life and leave aside the need to take control of everything around us, a great spiritual peace comes over us.

The phrase of Chamacrista is: "LOVE ONE ANOTHER AND ALL THE DOORS WILL OPEN".

Research is currently being carried out on Chamacrista based on Ancestrality. We all bring with us a genetic heritage from our ancestors. According to the Confederation of Iroquois Indians, “We have to take into account the impact of our decisions on the next seven generations”. Imagine the seven generations before you, imagine that a whole genetic inheritance has been passed down from them to you. Chamacrista helps people contact their own unconscious, in order to perceive a whole system which is impregnated in you without you knowing or noticing it until now.  Denise Linn, an American shaman, wrote a book entitled “Descendents – Tracking the Past, Healing the Future”. And this is where Chamacrista comes in.

According to neuroscience analyses, Chamacrista stimulates the pattern, i.e. configuration of waves favorable to the alert mind. If the individual is already walking on a spiritual path in this sense, it can help a lot in this path. In terms of brainwaves, it leaves a pattern of more "rounded" Beta waves. The Alpha waves show more present and consistent frequencies, and with frequencies closer to Theta. Theta presents visible surges, and Delta is very curved.

Chamacrista is an essence which helps the individual to identify herself with various situations, moving her away from the universe of the mind and coming close to the consciousness of being that she is: an observer of herself. It helps in the process of discovering as an observer of one's self.

Think of a flower essence as a jug full of gasoline. If you put it in an old Volkswagen beetle or a brand new Mercedes, you will find the same basic result: both cars will go, but with a series of variables: they will run quite differently!!! what makes them different? The level of performance of each vehicle. The more the individual is involved in his own process, the more he will be able to take advantage of the opportunities that arise, including flower essences. What does it mean to be involved in your own process? It means being attentive to yourself, to your ways of reacting, taking responsibility for your own life, and having the courage to see the same thing from different perspectives.

Thus, Chamacrista can be felt in a different way; can be used differently. If you are in search of your origins; your built-in software, Chamacrista is a good essence to use as a coadjutant, for clarifying the entire process, or else you can make the most of the great spiritual opening it brings; the enormous sense of compassion and faith.

 

 

CUPHIA

 Fam: Lythraceae

Cuphia Ericóides

The common name of this flower is Limpa-Peixe, which means "fish cleaner". Its rough leaves look like a brillo pad when together, and people use them to remove the scum from the fish, after scaling. This plant, with its delicate, wrinkled six-petaled pink flowers, is associated with Henna of Arabia, and has high commercial value due to the oil contained in its seeds, which have homeopathic properties. This plant also has various glands which secrete a sticky substance.

Cuphia is recommended for stubborn, know-all, possessive, jealous, or possessive people. Prickly, skeptical people and those who are hard to reach.

Normally, the Cuphia type is very well-mannered with people outside the home, but adopts negative attitudes within the home, with those nearest to them and members of their own families. In fact, they are people with a great need for social acceptance.

It is an interesting essence for those who are just beginning a spiritual practice.

Cuphia is also highly recommended for people who lack good personal relationships, and personal goals.

In its signature, it has 4 petals below and 2 above, but there is a hole right in the middle of the upper section. Astrologically speaking, this location is indicating house 10 on the map, the center of the sky, which is related to future goals and the need for recognition and status.

The Neuroscience analysis reveals that Cuphia lowers the Beta frequencies, i.e. it brings a deceleration in brain, helping the person to stop and rethink a little. It is a very precise essence in this sense. Normally frequencies 19 and 15 are Alpha, but in the analysis of Cuphia, they are Beta. This difference in evaluation depends on how the waves behave among themselves.

“When a person goes for an EEG, they cannot manage to give an accurate behavioral reading because they do not consider the relationship between the frequencies, and how they are related among themselves” Leonardo Mascaro.

An introverted person, with Cuphia characteristics, suffers greatly because he is closed to a new system of references and beliefs. This person’s filter is so accurate that he ceases to function, as he cannot accept things that come from outside. There is nothing as stupid and useless as being a “know all”. This makes life lose all its plasticity, beauty, mobility.

When a person is very possessive or jealous, or spends most of his energy putting others right, the principal is lost: to himself. The type that needs Cuphia is the person who is wasting himself.

It is necessary to find oneself, not the other, in order to then find oneself with the other.  This is the supreme ability of Cuphia.

 

DIAMOND

The Diamond (Diamond) essence was made from 8 diamonds, both in their natural form, i.e. the way they were found, and lapidated, found in the Chapada Diamantina region.

The Diamond is so dense that it breaks the speed of light by two thirds. Light travels at 300,000 km/h and when it passes through a diamond this speed drops to 100.000 Km/h.

The diamond is the hardest mineral that exists in nature. After it in the mol scale comes the sapphire which is seven times less resistant that the diamond. The end product of carbon, the diamond is the symbol of a long and major transmutation. It has an enormous capacity to reflect light. It is the final product that shares the light.

This essence is recommended for moments of great stress, when lots of resistance is required. It helps clean the processes of self-sabotage and fear of success. It is also recommended for vanity excessive and arrogant, where the person lacks the due notion of personal value of his inner wealth. Diamond essence helps the individual to receive the spiritual, to connect with this energy.

For people who abandon things half way through, it helps them continue things to the end, encouraging the individual to face difficulties and challenges in the path ahead.

It helps a person to recognize their own beauty, trust in others, in life, to give of himself without fear, share his inner and external wealth; it adapts well to miserly people, and those who are over-attached to material possessions.

It centers and balances the seven chakras.

It brings the capacity to develop the skill of admiration and discovery of humanity itself. “THE MORE HUMAN YOUR ARE, THE MORE DIVINE YOU WILL BE”. The Diamond essence brings a feeling of union with the Whole, strengthening the trust in the process of life, a process from goes from the Carbon to the Diamond, from the draft to the final work.

One of my first experiences with the Diamond essence was the capacity to see myself on the inside, it was although it were giving me an inner vision. This can occur differently for each person in a different way, but  its worth narrating the following encounter: it was as though I could see my sadness, as though there were an aquarium inside me, closed in this aquarium, I worked immediately with the visualization of healing, finding diamonds  and in my case, children’s' toys within this aquarium of sadness. So I cleaned out the aquarium and removed it from inside me; I threw it out, spreading inside me all the diamonds and toys once again.

What I was able to perceive, besides the well-being that came to me, was an incredibly greater facility for internal visualizations. The Diamond awakens and induces a higher quantity of Alpha waves.

There is a very interesting Hypnosis technique called Autoscopy, where the patient sees his body from within. Diamond can be of great help in this process.

Another valuable statement about the essence was the great capacity of discernment it provides, where  “no is no and yes is yes”, clearing up any doubts and uncertainties, which are real holes in our vital energy.

Another patient who was suffering from a chronic lack of iron in the organism also felt a great improvement in physical vitality after using this essence.

DIAMOND CONSCIOUSNESS

The Kabbalah has an important law: the law of non-reaction. The Law of Choice, of the use of the free-will. Not swearing when a car cuts in front of you on the road is a great personal achievement. Most of our lives are lived in a robotic way, a succession of reactions and events and people around us, as though we were nothing more than a puppet on strings.

The speed of the reaction is intense, it is faster than the blink of an eye. By the time we see it, it’s already happened.  The question here is: How much would our lives change if we freely chose our attitudes, instead of only reacting? We think we are free, responding to others  as we well understand, the point is that we don't understand anything and respond like crazy people, we are prisoners to our own ignorance and fear.

Stopping the process of reactions and the emergence of samsara, the wheel in which we are held prisoner, always repeating the same patterns. I recently attended a lecture by a neuroscientist, and he said how it is almost impossible to open new synapses in our brains, i.e. new neural pathways; new choices, based on free-will and not on reactions. But I learned from the history of humanity itself, that impossible is only temporary, that it is impossible until it is done, and can be done.  The Diamond carries within itself the Law of Non-Reaction, and works on us to awaken our free-will.

ELONGATA

 Fam: Orchidaceae

Cattleya Elongata

A red and pink orchid, pollinated by the Bumblebee, a large wasp, it is generally used as an ornamental flower and lasts for weeks.

It brings non-attachment. Deep awakening and transformation.

Associated with the fire element, it is the transformation from the cocoon to the butterfly.

It helps us to use pain, to transform pain into knowledge and awakening. It penetrates awareness.

It deals with humility. It helps the individual to establish new links with life and with people.

It deals with arrogance. It places the individual in contact with his capacity for leadership, making it effective through love, strength and focus.

Two days after pollination, the flower becomes disfigured; it becomes pregnant and emits the seed. Elongata presents a high fruit set rate – 25% above the average for other species of Orchid.

In one of my initial meditations with this essence, I felt a great tingling in my shoulders, and felt how much it is connected with the energy of Jupiter, the planet of expansion, perspective, faith, and knowledge. I was filled with an enormous feeling of self-confidence in myself, and in the paths of my life, with interesting visions of my future. When the person needs to trace personal guidelines and goals, this essence can be combined very well with Cuphia to achieve the desired effect. And to find faith in his life, it can also be combined with Chamacrista.

A valuable statement by a young, married patient after taking Elongata: “I managed to express myself better with my husband, to talk about what I really want, occupy my space in a real way, feeling that I had value and deserved to be heard and valued. But I didn’t speak in a nervous way, on the contrary, I spoke everything calmly and lovingly, well centered and convicted, with a small decrease in anxiety. I lost my fear of broaching delicate and “explosive" subjects, and I ended up doing it very well.”

What is pain, except the packaging of a valuable discovery? The Buddhists say that every heart should be broken, as this is the only way to deepen oneself, and it is a fact that sadness leads man within himself. This makes me think of the famous phrase: Why do people learn through pain instead of love? Why doesn’t love lead us within ourselves? It can, but we are not created for this. We are not taught to love ourselves, so that love is almost always a movement outside ourselves, towards someone or something. But since we cannot give what we do not have, at some time we have to deepen ourselves, and often this happens through pain.

Elongata helps to unwrap the pain and find the lesson, the teaching, the awareness that it brings. After we open a present, we discard the packaging.

When doing this work, Elongata also strengths our self-love.

At the end of the afternoon, this yellow orchid exhales a very strong perfume which can be smelt several kilometers away. It produces an essence capable of bringing delicacy to deal with people, and know how to embrace, caress.  It brings tranquility and opening in physical contact.

The phrase of Enciclia is: “OVERCOME YOUR LIMITS”

It opens the communication with other planes and spheres, combining very well with Chamacrista, Lanthus, Viscídula, and Star, for this purpose.

Mimosa Gemmulata

Pollinated by bees, this plant is highly melliferous, in other words, it is very good for producing honey.

An interesting meditation with this essence was related to me by a woman who, after taking the essence, began to remember a situation of friction between her mother and her husband, and soon afterwards, she said to herself: "Why am I thinking of this?", then the thought disappeared, and in that moment, for her, negative thoughts simply lost their meaning and began to be seen as silly thoughts. She also described how she felt the energy coming from her hands.

When I saw this flower for the first time, in a huge tree beside the road, I called it  Bucha do Coração (flower of the Heart). When I finally found it, in a far-off, distant place, I felt very thankful. This delicate, pink flower cleans ideas and beliefs stored in the heart, which makes it excellent for cleaning the heart chakra.

For people who are always critical over little tings or become overwhelmed by things of little importance.

Gemma helps people to first feel, then process, then speak. Understanding the heart and then opening the understanding and the sentiment, for the speech.

It is also a good essence for those who feel tired and demotivated to follow their dreams. Gemma helps restore the system of beliefs and reminds us what is really important in life.

An interesting observation about it, is when I went to collect the essence, the flowers were all white in the water, and after drying, at night, they became pink again!!! This plant flowers at the end of February and March, and produces spikes with lots of small, pink flowers with excluded stamens. Subsequently, it produces pods which break into little pieces, and this is Gemma, the essence for shattered hearts.

The sensation of frequency that it brings is like having popping sounds in the heart, as though it were gathering pieces, reorganizing, reconstructing the heart chakra.

GEMMA CONSCIOUSNESS

Many years ago, I remember a phrase from my mother which I will never forget. She said: “There is nothing more serious than energy”. And she was right, as Energy is the raw material of all life. Without it, nothing is possible. We are all born with a specific amount of energy, and the way in which we use it determines the flow of our lives and the results obtained.  Thoughts generate feelings. The way in which we interpret life will shape our emotional behavior, and this is the main means of investing our energy. Drawing a parallel between energy and money, if we pay a thousand dollars for a sweet, we will certainly be spending more than necessary for something so small. The same thing happens in our daily lives, when we give too much importance to silly things, and interpret them wrongly.  If the head thinks negatively, the heart suffers.

The heart chakra is the central one, and the connection between Heaven and Earth, Therefore it is the center of our Sacred Temple, and Sacred Temples should be filled with knowledge and love.

  

GERA

The first time I saw this flower, I baptized it Rosinha Ventilador (Little Pink Fan), because its petals looked like blades spinning anti-clockwise.

Gera is an essence for those who are trapped in unhappy situations or relationships. For those who are stagnated in a certain emotion or situation, from which they cannot free themselves.

Gera generates. It generates change, openings, places life in movement, it is an essence of carthasis and ignition.  It helps people to abandon old patterns and break habits. Its phrase is:

“LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN BECAUSE IT’S NOT MEANT TO BE THE SAME”.

Gera helps quiet the mind, banishing thoughts in a kind of whirlpool which spins anti-clockwise. According to Kabbalic tradition, this anti-clockwise direction is the direction of compassion, while the clockwise direction is that of Judgment.

Gera is a very interesting essence for overly critical people, or those who are too quick to judge, or who condemn those around them, and need to learn to accept the differences with more compassion, seeing the world with more compassion.

Biophysical analyses observed that Gera is a good essence for treating traumas related to the male figure: Father, Son, Boss, Husband, Lover, Brother, etc.

GERA CONSCIOUSNESS

We all have identities and we identify with them. You may consider yourself strong or weak, timid or outgoing. Our identities are also closely linked to what people say about us. For example, if everybody says we are introverted, we begin to believe it and behave in this way. What happens is that we pay tribute to the identities that we have, we live to mold ourselves to these identities, without leaving any doubt, and we do this in such way that we begin to believe that we cannot be different from what we are. No, if we can’t be different, then we can't do things differently, since Being comes before Doing. Developing is precisely the process of changing these habits. When parts of us die to give way to others, when we begin to follow the flow that is necessary for us at that moment, when a timid person becomes more outgoing, or when someone more outgoing withdraws to reflect. We no longer pay tribute to what we were, but become something different. In fact, we are not one thing, or another, these characteristics are just masks, that’s why we can change them. There is a passage in the Zohar that says: “God can do all things immediately, but because man doubts, he takes years”. We too can make changes immediately. This is the process of Gera; releasing the shackles of old identities in order to generate new attitudes.

 

GONPHRENA

Gonphrena Crestóides

Seen from above, it looks like a pink mandala with yellow edges.

Pollinated by small insects.

The Gonphrena essence helps the individual to think more positively, anchored in the heart.

It cleans the heart to affect the speech. It brings the spirit of the word, the essence of the word in full power. The difference between Gemma and Gonphrena in this sense is that Gemma helps the information that is arriving at that moment to be emotionally processed and then spoken. Gonphrena helps clean old, saved information so that it can be restructured and explained in a different way.

For those who have difficulty saying what they feel of finding their personal path. Highly recommended to help find your career path, and for this, it combines well with Cuphia.

When Lucifer fell from Paradise, jealous at having to share his power with the other archangels, he could not stay on the Earth, as the Earth was already inhabited by man, so he fell a little lower. So the plan of Lucifer and his fallen angels was to return to Paradise and take God’s Heaven. In order to prevent this from happening, God closed all the doors that led directly to Heaven, which are today represented by the seven seals of the Apocalypse, but there was one door which God did not close, and which remains open until today. This door is the one the Devil has to go through if he wants to reach God. it is where all the war between these two forces takes place, as it is where they meet. This door is the heart of man.

This anecdote is pure Gonphrena consciousness. The heart is not a place for holding people or information. It is a door which should be kept always clean, open, alive, so that the light can pass through at all times.  When I tell this story, sometimes people ask how we can love and not hold anyone in the heart. I remember an old teacher I once had, who said: “Love is like bread, you have to make it every day”.  Always fresh love can only come from clean heart.

When the flower is young, it is white, when it is old (pollinated) it is pink.  Its signatures, i.e. it shapes are also different. And after dry periods, the stem of the white flower becomes wilted, whereas the stem of the pink flower stays firm.

In some parts of the world, people eat this flower. In the town of Andaraí, one of the regions in the Chapada Diamantina, this edible flower is called Azedinha.

GRISEA CONSCIOUSNESS

Some people believe that being strong means being tough, even insensitive. This is a common error. Being strong means remaining open to life, to feelings, and not letting yourself be carried away, or hardened by it. Children are very fragile, yet at the same time, very strong. This is a paradox. Their strength lies in their weakness, their openness, and their capacity to receive life. So as time goes by, life often wounds us, and what happens is that this openness becomes closed, hardened, firmer. And the harder the person becomes, the weaker he will be. Another paradox.

The mind of man is not capable of understanding the truth because the truth cannot be translated. From the moment a truth is incorporated in words, it becomes relative, and this is why there are paradoxes when we speak of something profound in human nature.

Vellozia Harleyi

The common name of this vellozia, with its deep pink color and yellow center, is Canelinha.

This essence is recommended for those who resist changes in life. It brings equilibrium and insights, helping to organize and purify life.  It is related to the energy of the  sign of Virgo, it helps people who are perfectionists, too logical. I sincerely believe that the easiest way for someone to condemn him or herself to hell is by being a perfectionist. Perfectionists are tense, nervous, worried people

Harleyi helps in the process of growth towards something greater, for a greater understanding, a wider perspective on situations. It integrates something small into something greater, and you want to open up the perspective, a great combination is Harleyi, Thera and Chamacrista.

It is very spiritually delicate and helps the individual to discover the value of simplicity, accepting what is beautiful and what is ugly. Perfectionists are the most imperfect, but they expect perfection from others too.  They are incapable of accepting others with their defects. Pollinated by large insects, like large wasps, this plant belongs to the cassava family, and its common name is Mandioquinha, although it is not edible like Cassava.

This essence is for people whose heart is hidden and protected by the thoughts. Low self-esteem, indecision.

Wanting to be the first, competitive, lacking humility sometimes.

Feeling insecure and often thinking: “I’m doing the wrong thing”.”

When I was making this essence, I thought: “There are so many lovely flowers, this one isn’t even pretty, why am I collecting it?”, then I noticed that this essence treats people who are always comparing themselves unfavorably with others.

People who are ashamed of themselves.

Who are unable to see the inside and learn to appreciate themselves. Always wanting to show off to others and often losing the beauty of the simple.

People who need to come into contact with the heart to develop this energy.

For people who suffer blows to their self-esteem. Help for self-forgiveness. Treats feelings of guilt and inadequacy.

For dealing with forgiveness, Kielmeyera combines very well with Aspilia.

Difficulty receiving. When they gain something, they feel bad. They lack the feeling that they deserve good things.

KIELMEYERA CONSCIOUSNESS

My husband is a triathlete. In his first test, a short Triathlon, in which he swam 1,500m, pedaled 40km and ran 10km., all one after the other, I asked him what was one of the greatest things he had learned, and among other things, he said:  “I noticed that when I looked to the side it weakened me.” Part of this weakness comes from the fact of comparing oneself. Today, I have a 4-year old son, and when I race against him, sometimes I win, but most of the time I let him win, and when he is running in front of me, I shout from behind him: “Don’t look back. Look ahead!” In fact, I am teaching him to give the best of himself, and not be concerned about giving more, or better than the next person. And herein lies great power.

 

LANTHUS

Fam.: Eriocaulaceae

Paepalanthus Actiniocephalus ramosus

 “Actiniocephalus” means “Star Head”.  This flower has lots of tannin, i.e. lots of dissolved carbon, therefore, even though it is white, it becomes dark soon after it is collected.

This natural  “bouquet” of Sempre-Viva (Everlasting) - the common name for the type and family to which this flower belongs, works spiritually in many of the senses, balancing and centering the individual.

Of all the essences I have made, in none of them have I felt such spiritual presence as with this one, it was an energy and force so strong that I had a moment when I was startled by them and afraid that something totally outside my control might happen.  Besides the sensation that accompanied the essence, there were many sounds which seemed to be the voices of humans and animals, however,  I was far away from these possibilities, I mean, not so much from the animals voices, but from the human voices certainly. Of the stronger presences, except for the human ones, I felt snake and horse. I heard the horse neigh, so loudly that I looked around me thinking  it might appear at any moment, which startled me a little. When my guide finally appeared, I asked if he had heard the horse, and he looked at me without understanding why because we were in a profoundly silent place, and he could hear absolutely nothing. As for the snake, I was afraid it might appear while I was making the essence, it was as though it were watching me, surrounding me, and the forest around me was also making a lot of noise. Happily, no snake appeared, and neither did the horse. I listened to the men's voices, and in the midst of the process I had a vision of a man, and I can clearly remember his face until today, right behind me, close to a nearby tree, watching me.

Lanthus is an essence which opens the channels of perception, helping the individual to cross the threshold which separates the physical world from the spiritual, combining the two into a single reality.

Later, when I went to manipulate the mother essence in stock essence, almost a month later, the noises around me immediately started up again.

The presence of the horse and the snake, not to mention the spiritual-human, were so intense that I decided to mediate some more on the subject.

Interestingly, in Brazil, in the religious tradition of Umbanda, when a medium receives a spirit, that is, when he or she incorporates this medium, it is called the "horse”, the horse is that entity in the physical world. To check better the symbol of the horse, I searched in a Dictionary of Symbols, and there were some interesting results which were very relevant to the Lanthus essence:  “Within psychoanalysis, the horse is a symbol of unconscious psyche, or of the non-human psyche, evoking the idea of a dialectic exchange between the horse and the rider, somewhere between the unconscious psyche and the mental consciousness. The horse is considered a symbol capable of crossing doors to the mysterious, to regions which are inaccessible to reason. The horse is also considered a discerning animal, capable of guiding man when he cannot see, and for this reason, and also because it is considered a knower of the Other World, the horse performs an important role in Shaman rituals.  

The Buriatas tribes believe that a sick person is a person who has temporarily lost his soul, and in these cases, they tie the sick person’s horse near his bed, so that it will give signs of the return of the soul.

Recommended for those with great psychic spiritual openness, but who do not always know how to deal with it, and are sometimes afraid of going crazy.

For people who have taken drugs for a long time, or who are taking drugs, who have lost contact with reality, and are energetically vulnerable, and who are afraid of going crazy.

While Lanthus opens the mediumship, its also provides balance. It helps the individual to begin a spiritual walk, and perceive another universes.  Often this expansion of consciousness is reflected in the capacity to perceive things about oneself and other people around us. 

Recommended for people who are afraid of the occult, the dark, and afraid of being alone, generating, in these situations, recurring, fearful thoughts such as: “Something bad might have happened” or “Something bad could happen”.

Lanthus brings protection for sensitive people.

It helps people work with the somber sides, people who tend to omit, to camouflage.

There is a range of symptoms when a person begins to lose his grip on reality, and one of them is persecution syndrome. Lanthus helps balance the person who feels he is being persecuted, watched, evaluated, judged; it is also very useful for great dreamers. It awakens the sense of individuality, helping the process of individual self-construction, without causing the person to withdraw from the group.

Lanthus is like a mandala in 3D, And every flower is a set of micro-flowers. Miniscule flowers emerge from the “white flowers” at the end of the long, thin stem.

This is a very special essence and one which awakens the thymus. It makes the energy from the naval chakra rise up to the heart, energetically cleaning the trachea. It cleans “stockades” in the naval chakra.

It deals with humility, and willpower. Making the Will available for use, construction and expression of life itself, and of the self.

A good explanation for the spirituality of Lanthus is that it makes the knees bend to pray, it awakens religious feeling, in terms of the perception of something greater than the individual, something that I like to call The Force of the Divine. Lanthus helps the individual find his or her spiritual path.

In my first meditation with Lanthus, the sensation was that my belly was filling up with energy and rising in laugher, as though there were enormous bubbles inside me. It was a very strong feeling, and I was impressed with the power of this essence, which is so wonderfully powerful, and yet delicate.

Another interesting story about this essence is that once I went to choose a flower essence for a young lady who worked at my mother’s house, and I had a strong intuition that she should take Lanthus. I called her and told her that I was going to give her the essence for spirituality, and what did she think about that. She replied (coincidentally) that she had just started (2 days earlier) a spiritual work at a church called  "Perseverance", and that this chain in which she was participating would last 8 weeks, and that at this church all the workers wore white. She also told me that once a month, a women went there who had worked with Chico Xavier, and that this woman channeled messages from the spirits of the departed, to their families who were present in the congregation. Coincidence?

The phrase of Lanthus is: “I AM CAPABLE OF WALKING IN THE DEEP WATERS”. “

 LANTHUS CONSCIOUSNESS

What a difference it would have made in our lives if from the beginning, we were taught to understand that there is a visible world and an invisible world? A world that we can touch, and another that we can only feel, or perceive with a more acute sense.  How would we look at darkness and the unknown? Certainly in a similar way to the way this “invisible” world was presented to us, but it isn’t simply presented to us, the common advice given is: “Don’t talk to strangers.”, we simply close ourselves to it.

From the moment the invisible stops being madness and becomes something representative of another reality, it is easier to deal with these forces.

Lanthus is an immersion in a universe that is all around us, but which seems totally beyond our reach.

LUCIDUM

Fam: Orchidaceae

Epistephium Lucidum

Pollinated by insects, this orchid is recommended for feelings of dissatisfaction, when the person feels that nothing is ever good, or enough.

Lucidum is recommended for people who are disconnected from the source, the head disconnected from the body. A person who needs a lot of control, and who is afraid of losing this control over situations in life. This fear can often hinder the individual from moving ahead and making the necessary changes.

Generally, the Lucidum type is like an energy sponge, highly sensitive among other people.

Lucidum helps illuminate the path of life, the path to follow, what she is following, it makes the person notice the treasures that she has in life and come to value them more. A good essence for family, for strengthening family ties of affection.

Deals with liberty in that it is a tonic of the type: “swing, swing, but don’t fall”.

Ludicum is associated with the capacity to give value, to valorize. It may be an interesting essence for when the objective is to deal with an imbalance related to money.

Closely associated with element Air, it is an essence which heightens the perception and attention. “Being attentive and staying attentive. Attention requires attention”

One of its two phrases would be: “Stop complaining and see things positively”.

Lucidum relaxes, releases, releases the mouth, the jaw, research has been done on the possibility that this essence helps align the bite. Another study carried out with this essence focuses on the possibility that it helps integrate the two hemispheres of the brain, balancing intuition with reason.

A patient reported that after taking Lucidum, she noticed her chewing had changed. She was used to always chewing on one side of the mouth only, but after taking the essence, her chewing became more balanced and she used both sides of the mouth.

The essence of Lucidum acts by balancing the activity between the hemispheres of the brain. The neuroscience records show an equivalent amplitude between the hemispheres, promoting a balance of amplitude of these waves, including the attempt to break away from a dominant brain pattern. There is a balancing of the electrical activity between the two hemispheres. The two hemispheres begin to respect one another, better balancing affectivity and rationality. When nothing is ever good or enough, when we come across a person who is always dissatisfied, we are seeing someone who is closely connected to the negative side of existence, someone incapable of admiring, thanking.

Often, the feeling of dissatisfaction comes from immaturity, a childish desire for life to be always full of adventure. Life is a very challenging journey, and we feel more satisfied as we balance our energy with our maturity and our understanding of the fact that life is not always a source of adrenalin, great passions, or phenomenal conquests. Life is a slow passage which is built little by little.  It may have its strong emotions, but these are not self-supporting because, as the Buddha said, the longest journey of a person is the journey inward.

  

MANDEVILLA

Mandevilla Bahiensis

The common name of this flower is Rainha da Serra.  This name is given because it flowers all year round and is easily found.

This essence works with the feeling that everything one does has no value. It is for individuals who are not earning money, bad-tempered people, complainers, for those for whom life is a weight, a troublesome burden. A characteristic of these people is finding that the grass is always greener on the other side.  They feel unhappy and dissatisfied. What they do is never enough or never recognized enough.

They tend to blame others, life. Mandevilla helps the individual assume responsibility for her own life, helping her find a path of fullness and well-being.

My grandmother used to say that sorrow is a disease of the soul, and Mandevilla takes care of this disease very well.

For people who are always making excuses for themselves. It is important to observe that those who are always making excuses never progress in life.

The Mandevilla type always wants to get ahead of the fact.  She won't allow things to happen in their own time, and so ends up sometimes making mistakes.

A very interesting sensation in a meditation with the essence was the way my brain felt as though it was being divided in two: one part above and the other below, followed by a sensation of suffocating and eyestrain, inside, accompanied by a feeling of breathlessness, and I could see the amour around the eyes, surrounding the entire head. According to bioenergetics, one of the first energetic amours to form is the one around the eyes, when the individuals loses the ability to see things as they really are.

andevilla helps develop this amour; at the end of the meditation, I felt very successful!!!

MANDEVILLA CONSCIOUSNESS

One of the principles of Astrology is the fact that Venus rules Value. Value applies to both money and self-esteem. Money is the estimate we make of how much something is worth, and self-esteem is the estimate we make of how much we are worth. The higher the estimate, the more money we will earn, as we believe our role in the world has value, and that what we are doing has value. With this, we learn to respect our own role and our work in existence.

Once we have value and are aware of it, we do not blame others for our problems, as having personal value means having personal power, and those who have personal power do not waste their time or energy blaming others.

Blaming others is always a way of justifying or putting off necessary changes. It is a delay in evolution itself, whether blaming oneself or condemning oneself for failures. Firstly, because we do not have eyes to look and judge with the Divine vision. Blaming oneself is very different from accepting responsibility for our own lives.

Searching in our unhappiness is blindness.

MONTANA

Fam: Convolvulaceae

Jacquemontia Montana

The popular name of this flower is Veludinha (Velvety) or Folha de Sorte (Lucky Leaf). People use its velvety leaves to as bookmarks, as they say it is brings luck.

When I went to make this essence of Montana, I noticed that I had to become involved with everything around me, as this climbing plant was traveling and establishing contact with all the other plants around it.  Some of the flowers were low on the ground, and others were so high I couldn't even reach them. Montaha goes everywhere.

This delicate climbing flower, with almost transparent, yellow flowers and velvety leaves which you can even write on, produces a very special essence for those dealing with subtle energies, including, but not restricted to, all kinds of therapists.

It helps develop a self-expression with delicacy and charisma, winning your place without advancing the limits of others, but interacting with others in a harmonious way, without judging or comparing. It teaches us respect for others.

Montana helps the individual to be true to himself and others, to be more coherent, removing a tendency to dramatize and fantasize, centering the individual more on his daily experiences.

This is an essence for people who want to learn to adapt to different situations and environments.

Montana has a very nice characteristic, which is that develops the capacity, or often reminds us, to be passionate about life, which reminds me of something very lovely that a woman I know in Chapada once told me: “I’m in love with the cups of water I drink, the smiles of my son, the spots that don't appear on my face”

Montana helps complete cycles and helps bring more delicateness to men.

The essence of Montana demonstrated, at the start of the neuroscience analysis, an effect on the brainwaves of a reduction in Beta waves, a reduction in Alpha waves, and a greater liberation of Delta waves. After some minutes, Alpha began to synchronize with Delta, i.e. when there is a surge of Alpha waves, it is accompanied by a discharge of Delta waves. The Delta wave is a radar, the opening to the greater unconsciousness. Alpha brings this through an image. Theta is a frequency of personal, internal content and does not appear in the use of Montana.

MONTANA CONSCIOUSNESS

MUCUGEA

 Fam: Leguminoseae Mimosaceae

Calliandra Mucugensis

The popular name of this flower is Pincel de Estudante (Student’s Paintbrush) and it is an endemic species of  Mucugê. It deals with the creativity, the learning processes, helping to combine various ideas around a common point. It strengthens the chakra base and the rise of Kundalini.

Mucugea is used to treat frigidity and shame of the body, it helps the individual to feel more at ease with her own body, strengthening the self-esteem. Mucugea is also good for excessive vanity.

After making an essence, when it went to try it out, in my first meditation, it was like having a heart of red thorns and behind it, a very clean tube of energy through which it could flow easily.  I felt the red thorns and it made a lot of sense, as I was really going rough a period in life when I was recycling emotional pain. Mucugea began to expand the heart, balancing the energy of my heart. To treat the heart, Mucugea combines well with Gemma and Gonphrena, and also Partheno.

Once this moment had passed, I felt a pressure on the forehead and lots of ideas began to flow; work ideas, for different workshops and meditations that I could organize with the flowers, stabilizing, organizing and finding these ideas, clearing the mind.

Mucugea brings an avalanche of new ideas and possibilities, placing in the individual in the present in a practical way.  It combines very well with Cuphia for this purpose.

Visited by bees, it produces edible fruits.

Shy people, who hang their heads down before situations in life and people.

Brings delicacy with strength. For people who lose energy on behalf of others, even serving as “food”.

For people who are looking for their other half, where “romanticism” can remove them from the reality. People who bottle things up, are always looking down, melancholic, depressive, and tend to attract the attention of others making themselves the victim.

Deals with Impatience. People who are internally agitated and feel awkward, and who often don’t like people. Irritation.

When things appear to get stuck half way. People who need the world’s protection. They isolate themselves. The feel they are not understood and are afraid of being invaded. They feel socially threatened.

Brings the ability to adapt to situations which bring confrontation. Brings relaxation.

Too concerned with what others think. When they receive attention, they tend to worry, since: “the other person is wasting time with me”. They feel that they will not live up to their expectations.

The feeling is often an urge to shout out, but they are unable to.

Lots of protective masks. People contaminated on the inside by feelings of inferiority. When somebody pays attention to this person, she shrinks, stops talking, stops calling attention.

Also ideal for “nerdy” or “clownish” people.

In my first meditation, I clearly felt how Murici is an essence of expansion. It makes the heart beat with life and force. Helps the individual to discover enchantment and joy in his life and the things around him, developing greater social skills and involvement and exchange with other people.

When the person has lost his zeal for life, or life has lost its color, Murici is an essence that can encourage him to see things from other perspectives, calming and recovering a little the feeling of lost zeal.

Murici helps bring happiness and well-being, and deals with unexpected aspects. It is also highly recommended for those who think life should always be under control.

A 40-year old woman, who was very timid when it came to dealing with men, and who often felt embarrassed and even invaded when men looked at her, told how in her first week of taking Murici, she had flirted with two men in completely different situations, and had exchanged looks and returned their gaze with her head held high, and at no time did she feel ashamed of herself.

Migraine, headache, is a sickness that currently affects a high number of people. Murici deals with headache coming from living an undesired life.

There is an enormous difference between being delicate and being strong. Delicacy is often confused with fragility. This is false. Delicacy in all its integrity is a receptive way of receiving life, the other, and circumstances, in an open way. That's why flowers are delicate, because they receive life in all its fullness. If it rains, they receive the rain, if it’s sunny, they receive the sun, and they are delicate, so delicate.  It's clear that if someone steps on them, they would be destroyed, but they are capable of withstanding naturally intense situations, without being destroyed.

Man often feels like a failure, defeated, an embarrassment. Nobody stepped on him, he was simply born, and that was enough, or else he committed some error, and that's enough for him.  He is not like he thinks he should be, and that's enough for him to condemn himself and walk with his head hanging down. This person has simply thrown away the divinity that he is.

 

PAPPUS

Fam: Asteraceae

Acritopappus confertus

When I began walking in the Chapada region, from time to time I would smell a wonderful scent flooding the air, but the vegetation is so incredibly vast that it took me several days to identify where that lovely smell was coming from: It was coming from the Cura Facada (Knife wound cure).

The popular name of Pappus, Cura Facada, is due to the fact that it has excellent wound healing properties, and appears to feed the soul with pleasure and happiness, due to the fact that it contains high levels of essential oil. Its whitish-pink flowers sometimes look like a carpet that has been trodden on so many times that it has become worn.

The garimpeiros, or prospectors, used to crush its leaves to cure wounds, while the decomposition of Cura Facada caused fever, and this happened in flood areas, where it decomposed in the water and released substances which, according to the local prospectors, gave them fever, causing them move away from regions where the flowers decomposed in the water.

Pappus is recommended for self-destructive people, who put themselves down and inflict self-injury through destructive habits, while at the same time, demanding perfection of themselves. It is very common for the Pappus type to feel guilty. This is an individual who needs to learn to admire himself, to like and respect himself.  Often he may be found among the type of people who tend to put themselves down too much, becoming servile.

The difference between  Pappus and Murici, in this aspect, is that in Murici, the individual protects himself from the other, avoiding closeness, while in Pappus, he tends to serve the other with his head hanging down. 

People who are happy with very little, and who need to connect the heart with the spirituality more. They have good thoughts, but they cannot always implement them.

These individuals feel under constant stress. Pappus helps the person to relax, and feel at ease, and even at peace with himself. It builds self-esteem and helps the person discover and establish his personal limits, defending his own ideas.

The essence helps close gaps, heal emotional and psychic wounds. It brings unit, entirety, integrity, cleaning away emotional, astral and psychic rubble.

Pappus is the "soap" of the Brazilian Flower Essences from the Chapada Diamantina region.  

It puts the individual back on his feet, gives dignity, regardless of whether he has gone through a difficult situation, it helps to put into practice the thought: "I can hold my head up high".  For those who have been, or feel they have been wounded internally, Pappus restores the feeling of the Holy Temple of the Self, causing a fresh, pure emotion to gush forth anew.

Once, I heard: “Mágoa = Má água”, (translated as Bitterness = Bad water).  We know that water is the oldest association we have with the feeling, therefore hurt is a bad feeling. Since we are comprised of 70% water, bad water is capable of poisoning us considerably.

Transforming bad feelings is a task of spiritual growth. Bad feelings stop us from enjoying our personal wealth, from realizing our potential. Bad feelings are our sabotage, our traps.

According to the Kabbalah, all bad feelings, or even negative thoughts, originate in the black side. They are the devil whispering in our ear. Don’t listen.

PARTHENO

Fam: Lentibulareaceae

Utricularia Parthenopipis

This little flower sits atop a long, thin, delicate stem of approximately 10 cm. It lives in flood waters, and is carnivorous.  It has capsules in its roots that are buried under the flooded soil, and through which it feeds on microscopic creatures. 

Partheno is recommended for people who feel a lack of physical contact, who need contact to make their cure viable, and also for those suffering from physical traumas as a result of it, they don’t like physical contact.

Revives the value of feelings. It is a good essence for people who need to get in touch with their own strength. This person is strong, but feels weak.

It brings delicateness. Partheno is also a good essence for violent, aggressive people, or people who experience this type of energy externally, submitting to relationships where they are abused, though not always in a way which is obvious. It brings resistance and self-love.

It deals with the spiritually, rooted in matter. Helps the individual to become spiritual and practical at the same time.

For spiritual fanatics, it combines well with Enciclia in these cases.

People who have a sharp tongue, but with little vision and always protect themselves in life.

To learn to run risks. It helps the individual remove the drama from life and send “to that place” anything that is not good

Connection with the spiritual. Integration.

When this flower was discovered by Raymond Harleyi, he collected it and sent it to a specialist for classification.  He then baptized it Utricularia (Utriculus = which digests), and Parthenopipis, which is Greek for "one who likes to look at virgins".

According to Neuroscience analysis, Partheno gives a good organization to the brainwave patterns, i.e. the frequencies become more stable, symmetrical, and tend towards an opening of internal communication between the conscious mind and the unconscious mind. Partheno also anchors the  lower frequencies. When Alpha surges, next Theta or Delta surge, which predisposes the individual to have more insights. The essence of Partheno forces a little information to rise up to the conscious mind.

There is nothing that devours a heart more than being involved in an aggressive, destructive relationship. It is a great waste of energy, since the human being burns a lot of energy just staying in a relationship of this type, to support himself without being consumed, although often staying in a relationship can even be a type of cannibalism of one's own heart.  

Often when  people feel weak, it is simply that they have poor use or poor interpretation of their own strength. Apparently “weak" people tend to have a life they don’t like or are frustrated because they can't achieve anything. A lot of strength and will are needed to keep oneself in an uncomfortable situation.  There are moments in live when we need to learn to reorganize the flow and direction of our energy, and this, inevitably, comes together with a change of direction in our minds.

 

PASSIFLORA

 Fam: Passifloraceae

Passiflora cincinnata

Passiflora is a large, passionate flower, known as  “Paixão de Cristo” (Passion of Christ), Maracujá da Serra, or “Flor da Paixão” (Passion Flower).  This name comes from a allusion to the passion of Christ. Its signature resembles in its corolla the crown of thorns, its three styles, the thorns and its 5 stamen, the stigma of Christ...  Every time I think of all the qualities it combines, I can only summarize it as the flower of Personal Power. Passiflora calms; it deals with love in its most unconditional form, and gratefulness for life. Very good for those who are always on the run. It brings peace of spirit, aural protection through the quality of self-love, helps the individual to come into contact with and project in the world his own light and spirituality.

It is the essence of spiritual elevation: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

It awakens joy, harmony, appears to make that famous phrase of Paulo Coelho more accessible: “the Universe is conspiring in your favor”.

Highly recommended for people with depressive tendencies, or fear of dying. It gives the individual the ability to admire the beauty of life, and of people. Awakens the enthusiasm, the capacity to communicate and help work through difficulties related to material prosperity.

Helps the individual to feel pleasure in life. Good for workaholics.

Strengthens self-love, patience, personal power, and helps the person to accomplish goals, with a renewed faith in himself.  Passiflora helps you to stop waiting for things to happen, and finally believe that you can make it happen.

If I had to describe in a few words what I felt when taking this essence for the first time, after preparing and fine-tuning it, it would be something like. wonderful, marvelous, powerful, a desire to smile! That was exactly how I felt.

Among other attributes of this incredible essence, it deals with people who are absent from their own lives; people who are living on autopilot, a robotic life.  Once I gave this essence to a patient who was very skeptical about the power of flower essences, but as we had a good therapist-patient relationship, he agreed to take the essence, without even at least asking what it was. The following week, he came back and brought the following discourse:

“I noticed that I was not present in anything I do. I would be doing one thing, but thinking about what I would be doing afterwards, and it was always like that.  I can’t enjoy my own life”.  This same patient was a father of four children, and when the fifth was born, he was taking the essence, and he said: “For the fist time I enjoyed the birth of a son, I didn't going running out of the room to tell the family if it was a boy or a girl, I cut the umbilical cord and gave him a bath, all very calmly; I stayed there at that moment, without worrying about anything else. PASSIFLORA CONSCIOUSNESS

Being present is the greatest blessing man can give himself. When one is present, there are no stored beliefs from the past, as being present, it is necessary to abandon the past every moment, likewise there ere no fears for the future, as it necessary to abandon the future every moment.

Being present means managing the perfect mastery of your energy and how to use it wisely instead of knowledgeably, since knowledge is always a two-edged knife, and often, instead of liberating, knowledge imprisons. Wisdom is different. It always liberates; it is a higher force that comes from within, it is when man experiences a little more of his divine spark.

Knowledge justifies failures, fears, doubts. Wisdom overcomes them.

  

PINI

Fam: Leguminoseae. Papilio.

Aschynomene Brevipes

I passed by this flower several times, and I was reluctant to make the essence until it became inevitable.  Today, when I look at it and prescribe it, my heart seems to overflow with delight. This makes me think of when we tend to deny our inner child, with its delight, its curiosity, its life.

Pini is for people who are unable to shine. It may be a type of man or woman who, as a child, did everything right, a perfectionist, timid, but who, after becoming and adult, is unable to shine, to occupy their space in the world.

Resigned people, with lack of focus, faith, clarity and courage. Distressed people, who suffer from internal anguish.

Pini develops meticulousness, delicacy. It reminds us of the power the Holy Spirit, opens the heart, shows itself. It helps organize the heart and balance people who want to classify everything in a rational way.

Pini is a delicate, happy essence, which develops contact with the inner child, the will to take care of the inner child, awakening a greater love for it. Excellent for those who were repressed as children, prisoner, hurt, contained.  Strengthens the plexus, pushing energy from the center to the plexus. It is a very nice essence; it appears to put you in a whirlpool of the time tunnel, making good changes.

What I observed in individuals who take Pini, is that they start to allow themselves more pleasure, and to have new attitudes. An interesting case is that of a 63-year old woman who went traveling with her teenage son, and not only did she go hiking in the forest, but also snorkel diving!!! Observation: She always complained she was tired, couldn’t bear to make any kind of physical effort and never put her head below the water in the swimming pool or sea. It was a great surprise!!!

Pini is a good essence for those who are learning. We are always learning something new, and the most difficult thing in life is to relearn what we think we know. Pini is a great help in these moments, renewing our learning without making demands or judgments.

PINI CONSCIOUSNESS

The child in us is our capacity for change, our curiosity, our enchantment with the world, for people, for life. The child reveals our capacity to discover the new universe around us. Tibouchina Barnebiana

The common name for this flower is Quaresmeira (Lent), and it gets this name because  it blossoms on the day of Lent, between Carnaval and Easter, generally before Holy Week. In the Chapada region, it is often used for landscaping.

Linked to the naval, this essence helps cure birth-related traumas, and is highly recommended for women in labor. Helps place the individual in contact with the cycles of Nature. It is an essence of expansion – stamens in the form of Jupiter – and development of ideas.

It is a good choice for those who feel they have no prospects in life, and also for people whose work involves nourishing others, such as therapists, doctors, masseurs, etc.

In terms of energy, it cleans the pathway from the navel to the throat. Good for the speech, for stutterers. It awakens in the person the “right to speak”, and the feeling that it is safe to expose and manifest what you feel, think and believe.

Good for more defensive people who tire easily of social company. It gives the strength to go ahead, awakens the warrior that we all have inside us. Opens the paths in life, opens a passage way when life seems to be blocked. A characteristic phrase of QUARESME is: “YOU WHO ARE SLEEPING, WAKE UP”.  Sleeping the sense of being completely inattentive and unaware.

For when the person feels deep anguish, desperation, when he feels he has lost everything. And now what? Quaresme restores the feeling of worthiness. “I deserve these good things” and helps the individual to really feel this worthiness in the heart, with energy and strength.

This passage is well-placed for the essence of Quaresme. The death of man is desperation, a lack of prospects. Connecting anew with the divine and is to understand that there are many ways in which we can be born again, revive, leave our tombs, renewing our faith and our life.  Those who are inattentive and unconscious are also dead. Life is an enormous Awakening.

 

SILGO

 Fam: Compositae

The common name “Flor de Pintassilgo” came about due to the face that after the dry season, the Pintassilgos loved eating the seeds inside. Pintassilgos are small birds, and among the best singing birds that exist.

A species of the Compositae family, I have seen different herbariums after its scientific name, but so far none has determined how to classify this species. The flower is a bright orange color, and during the time I was meditating and preparing this essence, large, orange butterflies flew around me, surrounding me.

Silgo is an essence which is recommended for people filled with rage, prejudiced, arrogant, with low spirituality and very tied to material things. People who often forget consideration for others and will even trample on them if it suits them. Egotistical people who can hurt others for pleasure in power games.  Helps transform the tendency to make harmful, pejorative, negative jokes, transforming this condition of the individual into something more positive.

A strong characteristic of Silgo is dealing with forgiveness. It liberates the other from being blamed for the difficulties in his own life. The forgiveness that Silgo brings strength, vitality, renewal, liberation, enthusiasm. It helps clear away feelings of revenge, using the energy of rage as an energy of ignition. It breaks destructive habits and also breaks lethargy.

When a person is severely hurt by another person and they stay together in some form, he or she may begin to develop an aggressive or harmful behavior in relation to the others, adopting an internal policy of attacking often in small, continuous doses. This generates the habit of negativity, destruction, because the person was incapable of forgiving, of overcoming, of integrating certain information. Silgo works like a balm in these circumstances, changing this standard for something more positive.

STAR

Fam: Verbenaceae

Starchytarfeta crassifolia

The common name for this flower is Gervão and in some places, it is also know as Verbena, but with this blue tone with which it is found in the Chapada region, is is very rare. The root is commonly used to make teas to cure colds and lung problems. It is also an excellent tonic for the liver.

This essence activates the third eye and creates greater harmony with people. It activates the capacity for communication, not only with the human world but also with other spheres and universes, such as plants and flowers, for example, and many others.

Activates the capacity of the individual to receive and perceive the signs that life gives all the time.

When I took this essence for the first time, I felt a pressure behind my head and entered a huge, vast space, in which every was accessible: the past, the future, other beings, other dimensions, answers, insights, etc.

A characteristic phrase of this essence is: “The signs are everywhere. Be read and attentive to receive them”

The third eye, linked to the pineal gland, is the capacity for discernment and perception; it has a channel which leaves the forehead and travels inside the head, to the base of the neck.  Perhaps this is why I felt a pressure behind my head.

When I was walking in the forest, I had just made the Star essence and I began to ask for another message about it, for it to reveal a little more to me. This was when I took a trail and suddenly came into a large area completely devastated by fire. All the trees were burned, literally black and dry, but between them, hundreds of Star bushes, completely green and in flower.  It was really an emotional experience, and such as clear response to my request. Star is an essence of reconstruction, when all was lost, it calms, centers and helps in the process of regeneration of life itself. ]

Star is also very strong in the throat chakra, bringing a movement of energy upwards and forwards, cleaning the region, helping in the treatment of hay fever and sinusitis.

In a study carried out by the State University of Feira de Satana during a 14-month period, the Star flower was the one most visited by hummingbirds, followed by Cuphia e da Viscídula.

Star is an essence of center. It is like my beloved Osho master once said, “Why do you want to be focused  if you can be centered?”

 

 

THERA

Fam: Orchidaceae

Acianthera Ocreata

The common name of this orchid is Bananinha. A small, creeping plant, it is for people who are afraid of little things, and feel blocked by insignificant things, these are big fears of little things.

They try to cover up an inferiority complex with material things, status, surname, running behind futile things and basing themselves on them.

For people who are too urban, dry people, and people with limited vision.

On thing that struck me a lot during the preparation of the essence is that I felt a kind of nausea, an aversion.  If I was not completely clear that I should make the essence, I would have left it to one side.

Thera works with people who feel sick of things or even other people.  

Once, when I had just made the Thera essence, I went to do a meditation and separated three essences. I dropped the first into my mouth without seeing which essence it was. I always like to do this type of meditation...well, the first sensation I had was of nausea, and I don't know why but I thought I might had swallowed a fly and it had lodged in my brain, then horrible things could happen to me as a result. I stayed silent, just observing this reaction, and soon noticed that the essence that I had taken was Thera, and that it was telling me how people with limited vision behave, pessimists, of the “black clouds in the sky” type, the type of person who is always afraid that something bad will happen, or that he will fall sick, or something like that. What happened next was a clear certainty of how much this essence helps the individual liberate himself from pre-conceived ideas.

When the vibration reached my third eye – this is a chakra which is dealt with well by Thera, it seemed that there opened an enormous satellite dish which was getting bigger and bigger, turning upwards. I felt that I had gained perspective, vision, self-confidence, optimism, and great strength to follow the path ahead.

 THERA CONSCIOUSNESS

 A person with restricted vision will not find anything more to gain in life than several million.

Thera is an intriguing essence. It was through it that I learned to have an aversion for sick, negative thoughts. It makes me see that these thoughts are like seeds that everybody has planted in us, and certain situations in life can make them stronger and bigger.  Part of our personal work and our commitment to evolution is to combat this negativity, find and destroy these seeds of bad. Negativity and fear are channels through which chaos takes hold of our lives, our hearts and our minds, bring a series of sicknesses.  It is necessary to look beyond what is in front of our noses, breaking our limits.

TOMENTOSA

Fam: Scrophulariaceae

Angelonia Tomentosa

Of the same family as Tobacco, it is very similar to the Tobacco plant.  The common name for this flower is Fumo Bravo (Angry Smoke).

Pollinated by insects.

For those who give up easily, it brings persistence.

For those who find everything very easy. It helps in processes of transformation.

For moments of change. In a bunch of flowers, as flowers are blooming, others are dying.

For people with a spiritual blockage.

Recommended for the chakra of the throat. Gives force to the spoken word. Very good for leaders and pregnant women.

Good for very closed people, to help them open up. Tomentosa helps in any kind of opening up. When a person has obsessive thoughts, she is  trapped in a vicious circle. Tomentosa opens space in this circle, generating the possibility of the thought, without moving in other directions.

Tomentosa helps free yourself from vices. Often a vice may be something physical or something mental / emotional. Often, prejudice is also a vice, bringing values and ideas which you appear to be unable to accept.

 Vellobarba is a flower which is pollinated by the hummingbird.

Scented and sticky, it is a very attractive flower for the aroma it exhales, and also very resinous. The family of vellozas is known for being highly flammable. The leaves of Vellobarba are very sticky, simply place your finger on a leaf and it immediately sticks to your finger, and you can move it up and down simply by moving your finger – the leaf will stay on.

This essence is recommended for people who do not renew themselves, those are closed to new ideas, reactive, easily angered. Emotionally lacking, clingy people.

Vellobarba helps the individual who feels a kind of laziness in manifesting affection, extending a courtesy, and fulfilling promises

Deepens the connection with the earth.

Gives greater depth to the person, while teaching them to have more respect and honor their commitments.

Deals with rage, liberating tension in the mouth and jaw area. In an individual with rage, this part of the body is generally very tense and locked. What happens, more specifically, in this case is that Vellobarba can bring to the fire, to the light of consciousness, deep-rooted rage.

Its white filaments give it the common name of Barba de Velho (Old man's beard). What most calls attention in this flower is the way it combines so harmoniously, strength and delicacy.

After pollination, they become pink, but not a pale pink, a deeper, intense, strong pink. In the purity and clarity of white, during the day, it is pollinated at night, by bats and moths. The flowers that die white are those which have not been pollinated.

Viscídula is a good essence for those with problems dealing with more intimate relationships.

It brings peace of the spirit, flexibility, caring and sweetness.  Ageing with sweetness.  Delicacy.  We are all going older, even a small baby is getting older, this is the flow. Viscídula helps process information and forgive.

For indecisive people, it helps define a path. Works with lightness, wisdom, helps the person go with the flow.

Viscídula is an essence which is closely linked to Shaman traditions, and carried out a marvelous work on the chakra of the crown, dealing with it as a conscious receptacle of information. It opens the individual to a deep meditative state, strengthening the patience, cleaning the third eye.

When a spent some time in Australia, meditating with a master, he used to speak a lot about the verticality pull. Verticality is like a great column of light in which the individual is centered, and is linked to the cosmos, to the higher kingdoms, and at the same time as centering, forms stronger roots.
